Born and raised in Jacksonville, Perke has spent his career learning the craft from the inside out — first as an installer, eventually as the owner. Today, Ponte Vedra Closets remains a family-owned small business built on one simple philosophy.

Perke's journey as a small business owner began as a sole proprietor after he was laid off from his job. Shortly after, he was given the opportunity to help out with a small family-owned business — and that experience marked the beginning of his path from independent installer to eventually becoming the owner of Ponte Vedra Closets.
Taking the time to learn how to design and install closets from the previous owners, he adopted a simple but important philosophy: treat every project as if it were for our own home. We believe that by doing our best work for every customer, we earn the next opportunity through word-of-mouth referrals.
Today, Ponte Vedra Closets remains a family-owned small business built on that same foundation. We value the personal, one-to-one relationships we build with our customers, and we are grateful for every opportunity to serve our community.

Being a small business owner is much like piloting a sailboat across a vast sea — peaks at the tops of the waves, troughs along the way. Some days the wind fills the sails; other days, it barely blows. During one particularly difficult stretch, a mentor sent me a coffee mug with that inscription inside. It's stayed with me ever since. Challenges are often what shape us, strengthen us, and ultimately make us better at what we do.
Looking ahead to 2026.
One of the most rewarding parts of what we do is being out in the field and bringing a design to life. There is a great sense of pride in creating something we've carefully planned and knowing the finished product will enhance someone's home — and hopefully make their daily life just a little easier.
Over the years, we've grown from offering basic home organization solutions to providing fully customized storage and design solutions for nearly every part of the home. As our company continues to grow, we're especially excited about what lies ahead in 2026: we're expanding into painted and stained custom solutions, which allow for almost unlimited vision and creativity when designing spaces for our customers.
